Ebony...

Grrrrr Ebony trudged through the woods. She found it amazing that capture the flag could put her a mood worse than usual.
"Alright, pick a tree!" Dameon grinned at her charmingly.
"I pick whichever one gets me farthest away from you," she muttered.
"What was that?"
"Nothing."
Azalea marched up behind them and shouldered her way between the two. "We shouldn't get too close to the border."
"Why not?" Dameon asked.
The girls burst into laughter, "What?" Azalea widened her eyes and put her hand over her heart mocking astonishment and adopted an british accent "Ebony, could it be? Could we really know something about battle strategy that the great Dameon Vassiliadis does not?"
"I think we do Zalie! The world must be turning upside down!" Ebony cackled.
"What!" Dameon yelled.
"Should we tell him?"
"No, definitely not! What we have hear, dear Azalea, is precious, precious knolledge!"
Dameon sighed.

Azalea Mae...

"Hahahahahahaha!" In seconds the atmosphere had taken a complete 180 degree turn. Zalie and Ebony ran through their territory for the 3 minutes before the game began, laughing like hyenas at the look on Dameon's face as he stood with the defenders, pondering like a mad man, what they could have been talking about.
Truth be told, they barely knew themselves. An old battle tactic Zalie had once heard her father muttering. A self taught evasion method to keep from being found by her father. A complete coincidence that they both knew it, and they didn't even know why it worked. Just that it did.
"When are we supposed to go?" Zalie whispered up to Ebony, who was perched a branch below her. Ebony gave only a little shrug.
"Hey, get going!" they both looked down to see Dameon hiding behind their tree.
"We'll go when we want to," Zalie retorted.
"Which happens to be right now," Ebony said. She ducked down, out of sight for a moment and reappeared at Dameon's side. "Come on Azalea," and then she ran off, making Zalie giggles resurface as she did, because the look of surprise on Dameon's face was just as funny as the last time. She guessed their speed was the cause, but then he'd probably be looking at Azalea too.

Ebony...

Zalie caught up quick. It was clear she had taken just as much pleasure from Dameon's bewilderment as Ebony had. Much consideration had been put into it, and Ebony had decided that she would get her revenge on the little sh-[censored] by doing better than he had expected of her, and showing him up, instead of the opposite. The result, she knew, would be her worst nightmare come to life, but that was inevitable anyway. The attention would come whether she liked it or not, but no harm in making it positive, and up-showing an upstart in the process.
The plan was working, of course. The entire area in which they were searching was deserted. All their defenses were busy with the chaos team (that's what he was calling it) far from where they were.
"Stop," Ebony hissed. She shot out her arm and nailed Azalea in the face. "Sorry," she said as she picked her up, "I forgot how short you were."
Ignoring the death glare, she dragged her partner gruffly behind a tree near and pointed discretely to a red tuft of horse hair poking over a clump of ferns. "Fools," she murmured with a smirk.
"I guess: Ares," Azalea whispered.
"Definitely. Shouldn't the God of War know some battle tactics too and not just the Goddess of brains?"
They both suppressed snickers and removed their own helmets, crouching low to the ground. With Azalea right behind, Ebony moved forward.
"Huh-?" the boy grunted, right before Azalea's boomerang came down on his head. The kid had been looking towards his flag, and it was his own gaze that led the girls right too it.
"Put him down where he was- and quietly," Ebony instructed Zalie. They left his helmet on a stick, pointing the same dumb way it had been before so they wouldn't alert any others.
The flag was all the way at the top of of an old evergreen. Possibly the tallest tree in the forest.
"I'll climb," Zalie offered.
"Well I'm sure not going to," Ebony grumbled back, "I have to build a wall of fire that will go out as soon as someone gets so close to it." Zalie's eyes widened at that, but she said nothing. "Scream when you get to the top," Ebony finished and turned her back to keep watch.
A minute or so later an brain shattering screech ripped the forest. It was more sound waves than Ebony could have ever imagined coming from that little girl, and it got the job done. Within moments, two red plumed scouts emerged from the foliage.
